Help Me iPhone App
New safety iPhone app
Child Safety Ambassadors Bruce and Denise Morcombe recently launched a new ‘Help Me’ iPhone app for emergency situations. It allows the user to sound a warning and send an SMS to two designated safety numbers. Included in the SMS are the sender’s GPS coordinates, which help with tracking location. The ‘Help Me’ iPhone app has been designed for use by children and adults and can be found on the Daniel Morcombe Foundation website.
Learning & Wellbeing Seminar Series
Free Seminar Series in 2012 for Principals, school staff, parents and carers - delivered by Dr Michael Carr-Gregg
Dr Carr-Gregg is a highly respected child and adolescent psychologist in the areas of social and emotional development. Dr Carr-Gregg is passionate about delivering evidence based workshops and seminars that make a difference to the health and wellbeing of young people.
The Seminar Series will provide schools and parents with practical ideas on how to support learning and wellbeing.
Sunshine Beach SHS P&C Association's next meeting will be held on Monday, 29 May.
