The school Stage Band has again been awarded 1st place in the Sunshine Coast MusicFest finals, held on Sunday November 1. The standard in the final was very high with ensembles from Matthew Flinders Anglican College and Sunshine Coast Grammar School also competing.
On Sunday 30th August the Sunshine Beach SupaStarz Cheer Squad competed in the Australian All Stars Cheerleading Federation State Championship at Boondall Entertainment Centre, Brisbane.

Junior Dress Decision
The Junior Dress has been under discussion at P&C meetings all year with opinions being expressed for and against the discontinuation of the dress. It is now time for the final vote regarding the dress and this will take place at the next P& C meeting, to be held on Monday, 9 November, 2009.

Sunshine Beach SHS Vocal Students took part in the annual Combined Schools Choir Day, which was held at Sunshine Beach SHS on July 23. St Andrews Anglican College and a visiting choir from Italy, ‘Gioventu in Cantata’ also participated in the choral workshop and culminating evening performance.
