Congratulations to Clare whose innovative and creative work with animations won her the Noosa Regional Gallery Travelling Scholarship 2009 (Secondary School Students Category).
The $1000 prize money is to assist Clare in furthering her artistic career. The awarding of the Scholarships was a two-stage process, with an assessment panel of three art/design industry professionals involved in both stages. The first stage involved short listing artists in each of the three categories from the applications received. Two students from Sunshine Beach SHS, Clare Barclay and Charlotte Campbell were short listed in the secondary student category. These girls both have their artwork exhibited in the Noosa Regional Gallery from July 24 to August 23.
