| Stage Band Wins MusicFest |

 The school Stage Band has again been awarded 1st place in the Sunshine Coast MusicFest finals, held on Sunday November 1. The standard in the final was very high with ensembles from Matthew Flinders Anglican College and Sunshine Coast Grammar School also competing.
 The Stage Band would like to sincerely thank the organizers and sponsors of this annual event (Maroochy RSL and Sunshine Plaza), the other competitors who make this such a worthwhile challenge, and the adjudicators who give up many weekends listening to and judging the myriad of heats that lead up to the final.

Our students performed very well on the day and came away with not only the prestige of the being named the top ensemble on the Sunshine Coast (and the only state school in the final) but also cash and prizes worth $1250.
