P&C meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. They are held either in the Conference Room in the Administration building (or as notified otherwise) at 7.00 pm. Due to school holidays, some meetings are rescheduled.
What is the Sunshine Beach High School P&C?
There was a time when the P&C (Parents and Citizens Assn.) were in the business of running the School’s canteen and uniform shop, but recently, after much consideration, the P&C Executive handed back these operations to the school. The opportunity to utilise the canteen facility to assist with the training of students in preparation for future careers was one of the main drivers for that decision, along with greater access to online services for uniform purchases. Now these changes have been fully implemented, it has been decided that the P&C has a new role to play in building a stronger school community.
In the past, the committee in conjunction with a dedicated team of staff utilised the canteen and uniform shop profits to support a number of key infrastructure projects including the recently completed Sunshade (photo currently being uploaded).
Although fundraising for projects is always a necessary part of any P&C, it has become our committee’s focus to provide more to the school and wider community. In order to do this, the executive are keen to network with other community groups and interested stakeholders on how we can work together for the improvement of communication and school outcomes in the future.
As the school moves forward as an independent public school, the P&C are seeking wider input on how we can help develop a closer network for parents, students and community stakeholders. Your support is encouraged, so please feel comfortable contacting any of the Executive below or the school leaders for more information.
The P&C run fairly informal meetings which are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month in the School Administration building at 7.00 pm (or as notified elsewhere).
All P&C events can be found on the School Facebook page or in the regular emails from Deputy Principals.

Joe Jurisevic – President
A Councillor on the Noosa Council for just over two years, I was previously a self employed local business operator in Noosa as Joe the Handyman, electrician and prior to that a beverage distributor. I have been involved in numerous community organisations, local junior sport, the environment, and arts organisations for many years.
This is my fourth year as President having overseen the introduction of the new school uniform, and changes to the canteen and uniform operations that the P&C has operated for many years. The role of the P&C is changing and the opportunity for closer engagement with the school and wider community for the benefit of the students, teachers and the school as a whole are opportunities for the future in which I urge parents to become involved.
Anthea Abrahams – Vice President
Fiona Tarr - Treasurer
I am a local business owner with over 25 years of self-employed business experience. I have worked in the community development and youth work sector and have also been involved in volunteer organisations for many years.
For me, the P&C is an opportunity to build a closer school community where parents, teachers, students and the wider community can work together for the benefit of the school and the students.
I am an avid kitesurfer, stand up paddle surfer and writer. Noosa is the perfect place to fulfil my personal goals while providing opportunities for my children. By being a part of the P&C, I know I am doing what I can to help the school make the most of what Noosa has to offer.
