Sunshine Beach State High School offers many extra-curricular activities which allow students to extend their skills in a variety of academic, sporting and artistic fields.
A broad range of extra-curricular activities cater for students who wish to ‘have a go’ at a new learning pursuit and extend through to providing programs of excellence to support students with unique talents. These include:
Arts - Drama and Dance Specialist Lessons, Dance/Drama Extension Program and School Musicals, Choirs and Instrumental Music Programs, Cheerleading Program.
Sport – Surfing Excellence Program, Year 7-9 Interschool Sport Program, Cross Country, Swimming and Athletics Carnivals. Students are selected to represent our School at all district sports events through which regional qualification can occur.
Academic - Students are provided with opportunities to extend their English skills in a range of extra-curricular activities. These include: - debating - public speaking competitions - writing competitions - writing workshops - literary festivals - spelling bees.
