Music tour
Every second year, our senior ensembles (Wind Symphony, Big Band, String Orchestra, Soundwaves choir, Black Pearls and Sonors Percussion Ensembles) embark on a performance tour. The tour is usually in the final week of first semester and normally runs from Monday to Friday. Around 100 students are involved in tour.
Whilst on tour, the students engage in a series of activities, both educational and recreational, and present a number of performances at schools and community venues. There is also our theme night – costumes, games, acts organised by the music captains.
Our first music tour was in 2005 – since then we have toured every second year.

Music camp
In our non-touring years we do an overnight team-building and rehearsal camp for all our ensembles at Luther Heights in Coolum. Students rehearse with their ensembles, do team-building activities around the campsite and have time for individual practice. The evening games and activities organised by the music captains are a fun way to end the day. Up to 200 students go on music camp each year.
